Maps Lead Extractor / Privacy
Maps Lead Extractor – Privacy Policy
Summary
Maps Lead Extractor works entirely inside your browser. We do not run servers that receive your data, we have no user accounts, and we never see, collect, sell or share the leads you extract.
What the extension reads
- Google Maps pages you open, to read the business listings of your search – both the visible result list and the search data Google Maps loads for it (name, categories, rating, phone, address, website, opening hours, coordinates and Google identifiers). This data is not modified and stays in your browser.
- Business websites – only when you click “Find emails & social profiles” and grant website access – to read publicly published contact emails and social media links from their homepage and contact/imprint pages.
Where your data is stored
Extracted leads, your settings and your license status are saved in your browser’s local extension storage
(chrome.storage.local). They stay on your computer until you click “Delete all leads” or uninstall the
extension. Exported files are saved only where you choose.
Network requests
- Requests to the business websites listed on Google Maps (email search only). No cookies are sent.
- A request to
api.gumroad.comwhen you activate a Pro license, and every few days afterwards, to verify the license key. Only the license key and product ID are sent. Gumroad’s privacy policy applies to your purchase.
The extension contains no analytics, tracking, advertising or remote code.
Your responsibilities
Contact details you extract may be personal data. You are responsible for processing them lawfully, for example under the GDPR and the anti-spam rules for electronic marketing that apply in your country.
